Position Summary
As an Insurance Claims Adjuster at The Barclay Group, you will play a crucial role in the claims process by investigating and resolving insurance claims efficiently and fairly. You will work directly with policyholders to assess damages, determine coverage, and provide timely compensation.
Responsibilities
- Claims Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations of insurance claims, including gathering information, inspecting property, and interviewing witnesses.
- Damage Assessment: Evaluate the extent of damage to property or injuries sustained, using appropriate valuation methods.
- Coverage Determination: Determine if claims are covered under the terms of the insurance policy.
- Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with policyholders or their representatives to resolve claims fairly and efficiently.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of claims processes.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to policyholders throughout the claims process, keeping them informed and addressing their concerns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in insurance, risk management, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Valid driver's license
- Insurance adjuster license (or willingness to obtain one)
